It’s all about sequins and metallics and we have four fabulous ways we love to wear them. Silver, gold, bronze, copper and other metallic colors are great because they match everything! Metallic and sequin accessories are most appropriate for day wear, whereas larger metallic pieces shine at night. If you want an all over glamorous look a sequin or metallic dress or jacket is perfect. If you want to go with a more modest approach try this trend out on your handbag or shoes. It’s perfect for jazzing up a more conservative look.

This spring look for fashions that are metallic and shinny. You will glow in the dark, but will make you stand out from your friends. Tory Burch matches a fabulous silver shirt with a plain white skirt to make this style work.
Elie Tahari mixes it all together with a silver alligator printed top and golden shorts. Which outfit do you like better?

We found the perfect winter must-have accessory that allows you to use your phone and keep your hands warm at the same time! Fashion is always ready to be ahead of the times and quick to show advances a year before they come out. Fall 2011 can already be seen hitting the runways with new and interesting looks from various designers. One thing is for sure, the new looks for 2011 are going to have a party girl edge with chic colors. Many designers such as Vera Wang, Christopher Bailey, and Naeem Kahn can be seen using fur, sequins, and color blocks as a new eye-catching look. Along with these trends colors such as pink and purple in darker shades to match the fall mood have also been seen. Vera Wang’s new collection has been called “a glamorous counterpart to her Gothic schoolgirl.” Wang’s designs incorporate a lot of black and have a dressed up feel. A nice contrast to this is that of Monique Lhuillier. Lhuillier has a design that seems to “focus around sensuality.” Her looks use more bubbly colors and upbeat styles that are pretty, sophisticated and happy. Clearly, there’s going to be a large array of styles for Fall 2011. Women are going to have the chance to branch off in their style and choose how they want to look while still being in fashion. What will you choose? Bubbly and sophisticated, or edgey, rocker chic?
Fresh off the runway we are seeing images of see through netting that are proving to be a new trend for Spring 2011. Designers such as Marchesa, Dolce and Gabbana, and Emilio Pucci are diving into this new trend in fashion apparel in various ways. Whether you want to wear this new look in an edgy, outspoken way or in a feminine and flowery light is completely your choice. This new use of going all out with lace can be extremely fashion forward; however, it could also be a major fashion flop. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester wore a see through lace Marchesa jumpsuit to the Harry Winston Court of Jewels Recreation Launch in New York City drawing some unnecessary attention to her backside. Meester went all out completely exposing everything from behind and got some major criticism for it on E!’s “Fashion Police.” Not only was she noticed in a negative light but she was also named one of the worst dressed on the episode that aired during the week of November 17th. This is a clear indication that though this is a new trend, be careful how you go about it or you could become fashion roadkill!
Ever notice those enormous slippers that Snooki wears on The Jersey Shore? Well, you can now be a proud new owner of your very own pair! Snooki has officially branded her own slippers. Currently, they only come in leopard print and pink/ white. Snooki has always been a girl to value her own personal style and not be a follower of other fashions. It will be interesting to see the amount of sales that these new slippers rack up considering the brand recognition from Snooki and the show. They look super comfy but I guess my question is.. Would you wear these? Or are they something only the infamous Snooki could pull off?
For the past few years the only “it” jeans that we have seen on the fashion scene are skinny and cigarette straight jeans. It took a long time to get women to switch over to skinny jeans since most of them questioned whether or not they could pull off this new look. Now, fashion is repeating itself, just as history does. Celebrities, such as AnnaLynne McCord have been seen wearing overly flared jeans like those that were stylish in the ‘70s. This is an extreme opposite from the skinny jeans that we have seen for so long. I guess what it comes down to is not whether everybody will accept this new trend, but how long it will take to catch on. When it comes to fashion, everybody usually goes with the flow and ends up following trends one way or another. One thing that may make women hesitant to step into flared jeans? Men. A poll in Cosmopolitan Magazine asked 100 men on the street whether they loved extreme flare pants and only 46% said yes. Are you into this new style? Or are you hesitant to change your old ways?
