Jean Paul Gaultier Line Big Hit for Target

Jean Paul Gaultier launched his new collection for Target three days ago on Sunday, March 7th. The collection features everything from tailored shorts, to swim-wear, to leather jackets and girly summer dresses. I personally haven’t gotten a chance to go check out and of the pieces in Target stores, but from the looks of the clothes online, its definitely something to get excited about. Gaultier’s inspiration for the collection was to design pieces that celebrate the attitudes and personalities of American women, giving us all an option at an affordable price tag.

The collection ranges in prices from $19.99-$199.99

Some pieces the caught my eye include:

The Leather Moto Jacket in Brown/Red featured on the left, and the black mini skirt shown on the right.

Chanel and Other Top Fashion Houses to sell Runway Inspired Temporary Tattoos

It’s time to get inked up, Ladies. Temporary Tattoos are this season’s hottest new accessory.

The body art was shown on many runways by fashion houses such as Rodarte and John Paul Gaultier. However, Chanel’s designs seem to be the most popular.

These temporary tattoos are called Les Trompe L’Oeil de CHANEL Temporary Skin Art. They are selling for $75 dollars a pack which includes 5 different tattoos. Overall, Chanel has 55 different designs. They can be found on Chanel.com.

This is definitely a recession friendly way to show off your Chanel style this season.

Alice in Wonderland Takes Over Bloomingdales

Tim Burton’s long awaited “Alice in Wonderland” debuted today, so it’s just a coincidence that I happened to be walking by Bloomingdales on my way to lunch and noticed the enchanting window displays featuring Sue Wong’s dresses. I actually had to stop dead in my tracks to check them out.

This one was by far my favorite…

I think it’s the perfect coalition of beauty and fantasy and just in time for spring! Can’t help but love it!

Knotty Boys Need Love Too

There was a day and age, not long ago, when a bowtie was evocative of grandpas and Tucker Carlson. Now, even Tucker has eschewed the bowtie and the hip kids have embraced it. I had dinner with a well dressed Canadian cutie Friday night and he was looking quite dapper in his bowtie and Gucci belt. I asked why fashionable guys wear bowties and he told me he’s been watching a lot of Mad Men and is feeling the whole retro vibe. He also reminded me of Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. Fashion is cyclical and this fashion trend has gone from geek to chic.

I happened to stumble across the new Hermes ad campaign featuring Karlie Kloss and I am absolutely in love.

This ad represents everything I look forward to this coming spring. It gives me a sense of calm and tranquility and makes me long for pastel colors and light and airy fabrics. I’m counting down the days already; can’t wait for the carefree days of spring!

I was checking out Lady Gaga’s web site today since she will be here in NYC this week & noticed that she has come up with a really fashionable way to donate to all of the people suffering in Haiti. Jimmy Choo teams up with Ugg…

We’re not really too sure how this happened or how the two brands have anything in common?

I foresee disastrous things… Uggs are supposed to be reserved for walking the dog or running to the drug store in frigid weather. If it weren’t for this collaboration, I don’t think an Ugg would ever meet a Jimmy Choo? I guess this means Uggs aren’t going away anytime soon. Obviously, I guess I’m still in shock. Thoughts???
